PERSONAL INTERCESSORY PRAYER REQUEST (a call to men)

ALRIGHT MEN WE MUST CONTINUE TO STAND UP AND STAND ON THE WORD THAT GOD HAS GIVEN US REGARDING THIS CITY (Pittsburgh) AND OUR CHILDREN.

WHAT'S AT STAKE:

This is the time when true worshippers will worship Him! These are the days when the Fathers ways shall be known to them!  This is the hour when the spirits power will move again all across the land and we'll worship Him in spirit and in truth.

 The word of God distinctly tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:4 that the weapon's of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds it also teaches us in Matthew that from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.  Our city, as well as this world has suffered long enough at the hand of the enemy.  That’s right we are putting the blame right where it belongs.  However, some of us have contributed to this madness as well by standing by idle, watching our children die in the streets never fulfilling their purpose, chasing the insatiable false Gods that promise the world, but take everything even their lives.  Our self centered lifestyles and fears have separated us from being part of the solution, and it is time to make a change.

REPENTANCE COMES FIRST:

We men MUST first and foremost repent to God for our inaction and for sowing a lifestyle into our children and our communities in our early years. that behavior no matter how trifle has reaped a fruit to painful to bear.  An environment has been created in which our children acknowledge the physical power behind the hand of a wielded weapon and fail to see the ultimate spiritual power of the living God working within us.  We repent because as a result of us being out of position so are they.

Secondly we repent to our children, our sons, our daughters, our grandsons and granddaughters, as well as our wives, and extended families.  We have not reflected Christ in a way that they would see His power as the way the truth and the life.  We owe them big time and must do what ever it takes to turn from apathy, disdain, and fear, in order to recognize that the young men and women that are dieing in the street are our children and not our enemies.  It is our duty as Men of God to go get them, to cast aside personal fear and detachment, picking up the whole armor of God to rescue them from dereliction, depravity, and death….

 And last we repent to our community for not making it our personal responsibility.  Because it is our personal responsibility.  No matter how you look at it, where you love, what color you skin is or where you go to church or school, we are all in this together and we are all impacted by the news reports and the lack of positive change that is taking place on a consistent level.

WHAT TO DO: - Prayer is the Key but Faith unlocks the door:

Key areas of prayer - The oppresion stronghold cast down, Unwaivering faith in the Word of the Lord, Resolve for Unresolved Issues, as well as salvation for the lost and passion for us towards the lost, especially our children.

We have recognized that we can do more on our knees than we can do with our hands.  We recognize that the power of life and death is in our tongues.  We recognize that the word of life is nigh in our mouths. It is not some difficult solution beyond our grasp but a power within our reach, 2 Corintians 4:7 says it best when it says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”  So join with us as we take the time through the personal sacrifice of intercession. We ask that you commit each day to pray for the strong hold of oppression to be cast down within the city of Pittsburgh and within the minds of our children. We are praying for unwaivering faith in God's word, salvation for the lost including passion stirred in hearts to seek out the lost and lead them to Jesus. We as Men of God, need to take back the territory that is rightfully ours.  We need you. This is a city wide movement not specific to any one ministry. We invite you to help keep the mometum and the excitement going, for the deliverance of our children is at hand.
